Clean Your Dentures

Here are a couple easy steps to a clean denture routine.

1

Soak your dentures with Polident® Denture Cleanser.

2

Brush your dentures with the Polident® solution and a soft denture toothbrush, then rinse thoroughly with water. Brushing after soaking helps ensure the removal of debris and plaque that soaking alone can miss.

3

Rinse your dentures well with running water before you insert them. Remember to discard the used Polident® solution.

Other important things to remember when cleaning your dentures:

  • Store your dentures in water to prevent them from drying out.
  • Be sure to rinse and dry off your dentures before you put them back in.
  • Do not place tablets or tablet solution in mouth.

Use denture adhesive to help seal out food particles.

Helpful Hint: Remember to handle your dentures over a sink half-filled with water.
This will help protect your dentures if you drop them.

Regular dental exams

Be sure to keep up with your regular visits to the dentist. In addition to checking the condition of your dentures and any natural teeth, a regular dental exam can be an ideal time to address any sores in your mouth, check for changes in the shape of your gums, check for signs of oral cancer, or simply talk to your dentist about your dentures.
