How to use denture adhesives correctly.

As you try to determine how much to use, start with just a few dabs of a denture adhesive cream and then increase if you feel it's necessary. Learn here how to properly use:

Super Poligrip® Cream

Directions

  • For the first time, use a SMALL amount. Use more if needed. Too much adhesive can cause oozing.
  • It may take a few tries to find the right amount for your denture.
  • Apply once a day for secure hold. Do not apply more than once a day.
  • Visit your dentist regularly. Ill-fitting dentures may impair your health.
  • To keep tip from clogging, keep cap and nozzle dry.

Applying

  1. Clean and dry your dentures.
  2. Apply Super Poligrip® in SHORT STRIPS as shown, not too close to denture edges.
  3. Rinse mouth before inserting dentures.
  4. Press firmly into place, hold firmly, and bite down for a few seconds to secure.

Removing

  1. Swish mouth with water.
  2. Slowly remove dentures by using a rocking motion.
  3. Remove adhesive residue from denture and mouth with warm water and a soft brush.
  4. Use Polident Denture Cleanser to thoroughly clean your denture.

Super Poligrip® Comfort Seal® Strips


Clean and dry your denture. With dry hands, peel open and remove strips Lightly moisten one strip at a time with water.
1. Clean and dry your denture.
2.With dry hands, peel open and remove strips.
3. Lightly moisten one strip at a time with water.
Place strips as shown, not too close to denture edges. Do not overlap strips.(Tear strips if needed.) Rinse mouth with water before inserting denture. Press denture in place, hold firmly and bite down.

Extra Strength Super Poligrip® Powder

Directions

  1. Clean dentures thoroughly, leaving them wet.
  2. Open cap to expose tip.
  3. Apply evenly by squeezing the bottle. Shake off any excess powder.

    For Uppers
    Position bottle as illustrated below so powder is dispensed over a large surface. Move tip from front to back of denture.
    For Lowers
    Position bottle as illustrated below so powder is dispensed in thin stream. Move tip along "U" of denture channel.

  4. Rinse mouth before inserting dentures.
  5. Press dentures in place and hold firmly for a few moments.
  6. Keep dispenser tip dry so that opening does not clog.
